ENTAM annual meeting

30/06/2012 - The ENTAM annual meeting will take place in Terni (Italy) from the 3rd to the 5th of July, 2012. the participation is reserved to the Members representatives. Under the usual coordination of the ENAMA the aim of this annual meeting is tho strengthen the legal entity of the association in order to assure the right visibility to the Association in fron of national and international Institutions.

The ENTAM is a European Network currently composed by 11 public Institutions working in the field of agricultural machine testing. These eleven institutions belong to 8 EU Countries (Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain) and are considered the most prestigious in the field of agricultural machine testing and certification. Most of them are under the authority of the Ministry of Agriculture and are in charge of doing researches and experimentations in the field of agricultural engineering. The ENTAM network was established in 1999 for the purpose of exchanging and mutually recognizing the test reports made by the testing stations. After more more than 10 years of activity, hundreds of voluntary tests have been requested by the Manufacturers and have been carried out by the ENTAM testing stations. Most of them have been also recognized by the ENTAM, particularly those related to Plant Protection machines and equipments. According the manufacturers statements, the ENTAM recognition of these machines and equipments gave them the possibility to accelerate the marketing in the Countries where the test report was recognized and, in case of subsidization from the local Governments, the ENTAM recognition in some cases was a criteria to be in the list of those machines which could be subsidized. Despite these extremely positive technical results of the mutual recognition carried out by the ENTAM, nowadays the network has not yet a a specific legal structure, so the will of the Members for the 2012 general Assembly is to set up a more structured vehicle of cooperation. After a deep analysis of the European economic interest grouping (EEIG) other legal structures (e.g. the Association) will be evaluated if easier to register compared to the EEIG and equally reliable to interact with the EU Commission and other international authorities and giving more credibility to the organization.
